Coach of Gokana United, Lahteh Sunny Gabriel said he has prayed for the success of the under 20 team and Sharks supportive attacker, Christian Pyagbara’s success in his football career.
Speaking to The Newswriter at Liberation Stadium during Dolphins and Rangers week 27 football encounter, the soft spoken coach who said he was privileged to have coached Christian Pyagbara at the grassroot level where the Sharks striker was discovered.
According to him, Christian Pyagbara is a rare football talent that will succeed internationally.
He stressed that he is convinced that Pyagbara is a material for the European league, praying that one day his wish for the player will materialize.
For his bundle of skill, the Coach who is also known as Sir Jay, said Nigerians have not seen anything yet about Christian Pyagbara, adding that if the enabling environment is provided, the world will appreciate the player in Christian Pyagbara. He maintained that Christian Pyagbara is a EPL material hoping that the Spanish, Italian and English premier league will come for him soonest where he is best suitable to play out his football. Noting that these are the leagues where good football is being played in the world today.
The amiable coach urged all in position of trust to give the player all the encouragement he needs to hit international limelight while also appealing to the Rivers State sports ministry and his fellow players to accommodate him in every way possible for the player to make it big internationally. ###
