The Opobo council of Traditional Rulers has lauded the development strides of Warisenibo (Hon) Maclean Bethel Uranta led administration of Opobo/Nkoro Local Government Council. The traditional ruler’s made the commendation when they joined the Council Chairman and members of the Local Government on an inspection of Opubo Hotels constructed by the present administration which is ready for commissioning.
Speaking, the vice-chairman of the traditional ruler’s council, Alabo Princewill Wogu-Dappa said the hotel is of international standard and would boost the annual Opobo International Boat Regatta festival, which is the brainchild of the Amanyanabo of Opobo Kingdom, HRH, King Dandeson Douglas Jaja, Jeki V.
Also speaking the public relations officer of the traditional ruler’s council Alabo Godwin Bupo noted that the hotel is a great asset which will attract visitors and tourists to the Kingdom. Alabo Bupo used the opportunity to call on politicians to remember the good days they had shared together as a people and look for ways of resolving whatsoever difference they have at the moment so that the State can continue to witness peace and development.
