Christians Warned Against Placing Man Above God

Christians have been admonished against placing Prophets, prophecy over the word of God and God himself, as men believes in hearing prophecy other than the word which is the encyclopedia of all things.

Prophet Austine Ohaji of the Christian Pentecostal Mission and lead servant of the Prophetic Power Clinic, (PPC), gave the admonition recently, while delivering sermon during last Thursday power service Prophet Ohaji who was speaking on the topic “Healing by the word” with its text taken from Exodus chapter 15:22-26 said that most people cherish hearing prophecies than studying the word of God, but posited that the word is more powerful than the prophecy.

The man of God also admonished Christians against placing the prophets above God, saying that placing anyone above God, amounts to having and serving other gods.

According to him, it does not signify that one should not love a prophet, but saying that once a prophet or pastor is placed above God in one’s life, it is a sin of idolatry, adding that the scripture must be adhered to strictly “You shall have no other gods before me,” Exodus 20:3 (NIV).

While explaining the reason why some love prophecy than the word, prophet Ohaji told Christians to subject themselves to some personal questions such as what is happening to me” and resolve to study the scripture which has answers to all problems.

He said that, the Israelites grumbled in their journey in the wilderness against Moses because they could not seek God rather saw Moses, saying that whatever may be the Christian wilderness, hunger, poverty, job, marriage and finances, God should be looked up to and not any prophet, though such is a leader.

Ohaji, while stressing the need for regularly studying the scriptures, said everything is not by prayers but by the word of God, because all things are imbedded in the scriptures.

Accepting the totality of the word of God he said brings perfect healing, and every individual has the capacity irrespective of the circumstance to pray, and have a positive result but only if there is faith like a mustard seed, Ohaji explained.

Prophet Ohaji while warning Christians against going about seeking for solutions where there is none, wondered why some women would believe in another man who is not their husband to bath them in the name of finding solutions to their problems which could be solved by themselves.

“It is evil and barbaric, therefore Christians should desist from their ignorance and embrace God while praying and studying the word”, the prophet declared.  ###
