Blessing Okagbara Blesses Nigeria With 1st Medal

BLESSING OKAGBAREIt is no longer news that Blessing Okagbara of the country has given Nigeria her first silver medal at the on-going World Athletics meet in Moscow, Russia. Blessing who is representing Nigeria in the tournament has recorded Nigeria’s first medal in the long jump event and came 6th in the 100 metres track event, which she made Africa all time best result by running 10:79 second. While Blessing may be mentally and physically willing to go all out to represent her fatherland, caution has to be taken lest the opposite be the case. Time is of essence that Blessing might have the spirit to burn enough energy for her country, but The Newswriter Sports Desk has its fear that too much should not be expected from Blessing Okagbara, as it seems she is the only person Nigerians are expecting all the medals from, rather let other athletes in the team be given attention while we all pray for the success of the entire Nigeria athletes team. But, Blessing Okagabra, is just a person and could only produced her individual best to Nigeria, as she has started on a good note. Her not making it to the expectant, does not mean that she is finished, she might not have all the events, she is featuring for Nigeria but much respect and prayers should be offered her till the conclusion of the meeting. It is too early to judge her in the negative; after all she has delivered the first medal to Nigeria in her first event. ###
