Rivers State Government Abandons Governance For Court Cases

There are indications that Rivers State government under the leadership of Rt. Hon. Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi has abandoned governance of the state for court cases making in one court and the other all overt the state.

This case making had totally derailed the governors said visions and missions he showed Rivers people before this time.

Without been told the governor himself Rt. Hon. Chibuike Amaechi is in court praying the court to stop the Assembly from impeaching him.

The impeached speaker of the state Assembly, rt. Hon. Otelemaba Amachree has just finished his court case praying the court to prevent the police from interrogating him on allegation he made that there are people planning kill the governor of the state, Rt.  Hon. Rotimi Amaechi.

The ousted speaker, we gather is on the run as the high court sitting in Port Harcourt under Justice Adolphus Enebeli struck out his suit said that the police has the right to interrogate any body under the armpit of the law.

Answer pending matter in court comes from the Obio/Akpor LGA angle where the chairman and councillors of the council have gone to court seeking re-instatement.

You would recall that the chairman, vice chairman and 17 councillors of the Obio/Akpor local government council were in one fateful day suspended from office by the Rivers State House of Assembly without due process and replaced them with caretaker committee, thereby paralyzing activities of the council.

This case which came up earlier, this week in one of the high courts in Port Harcourt also suffered a set back for irregular judicial process by the defending counsel. ###
