Dolphins Players Have No Good Reason To Borrow – GM Dolphins

Owing to the negative impression created by some of Dolphins players penultimate week over their attitude of borrowing from lenders and wasteful losing substantive amount of money to the lenders, the General Manager of Dolphins, Dumbor Awanen has come out to correct the negative impression being spread in the public, saying the players were paid their match bonuses, match allowances regularly.

The General Manager made this clarification when The Newswriter sports desk anchored him in his office last week.

According to him, it takes discipline to keeps one’s integrity, saying that the players are regularly paid their match bonuses, allowances and beside that they are fed regularly in the club camp, where Dolphins is camped.

Citing Rotimi Sunday (keeper) as a well disciplined player of dolphins that has self respect as he did not owe anyone as he did not borrow from anyone since playing for Dolphins of Port Harcourt.

The soft spoken GM stated that those players who went into borrowing are players that just want to ridicule themselves, pointing out that even if those set of players are paid mullions of Dollars, they would still live their self styled life to their destruction as they have no reason whatsoever to went into such a high rate of interest borrowing.

He also cleared the negative impression some soccer fans are creating with those players of Dolphins that wastefully went into borrowing as to tarnish the good image of Dolphins maintaining that Dolphins is one of the state sponsored clubside that do not joke with the welfare of her players, as last season sign-on-fees are paid to the players 100% not like some clubside in Nigeria that are paying 15 to 5 percent of their players sign-on-fees.

“Sincerely speaking, we are not owing any player in Dolphins, when we owe, and when we are paying, we pay 100 percent. As it is now, Dolphins players could not complaint of their monthly salaries, even this year’s sign-on-fees we have started working on it” he said.

Saying there is no moral justification why Dolphins players to indulged in high borrowing. He concluded. ###
