Sequel to the recent attempt by five lawmakers of the Rivers State House of Assembly to impeach the speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Otelemaba Dan Amachree and the recent Tuesday attack allegedly carried out by the anti-Amaechi group on the chairman of the Nigeria Governors Forum and his four Northern governors who paid a solidarity visit on him, a Chief in Rivers State, HRH Chief Owabie Tobin, the Eze Onumini I of Port Harcourt City LGA has advise President Goodluck Jonathan his wife, Dame Mrs. Patience Jonathan to leave Gov. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi alone to continue his excellent developmental stride in Rivers State.
In a chat with journalists in Port Harcourt the royal father who lamented various attempt by the presidency ranging from his attempt to disallow governor Amaechi from being re-elected as chairman of the Nigerian governors forum (NGF) later won, fueling of crisis in Rivers State by lobbing to impeach governor Amaechi through the removal of the speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly from office warned those behind the ungodly act to desist from such.
The royal father who blamed the five lawmakers of the state House of Assembly, Hon. Victor Ihunwo, Hon. Kelechi Nwogu- Omuma constituency, Michael Chinda Obio/Akpor Constituency I, Hon. Martins Amawhule Obio/Akpor II and Evans Bipi for acting on the instruction of their master and the madam, to do what they did a couple of days ago noted that the five lawmakers would not have done that if not on the backing of the presidency, the madam and the security agencies stressing that President Jonathan’s continue attack on Amaechi will amount to nothing good rather will make him not to achieve his presidential ambition in 2015 election.
According to him, the arrow head of the impeachment attempt saga Hon. Evans Bipi a lawmaker representing Ogu/Bolo constituency who claimed to be speaker was PA to dame Patience Jonathan stressing that Bipi takes instruction from Jonathan’s wife to do what he was doing and warned him and other four lawmakers to desist from such act.
Chief Tobin who condemned the impeachment attempt on the speaker by the five lawmakers urged them to retract their step and join hand with governor Amaechi to move the state forward.
He commended Prof. Tam David West the former Petroleum Minister and Prof. Wole Soyinka for being truthful and urged them not to relent in their truthfulness.
The royal father who condemned Asari Dokubo and Chief Edwin Clark, former minister of information’s utterance “that Jonathan must be re-elected in 2015 stressed that they should not be cause of what they benefit from the president to comment unnecessarily pointing out that president Jonathan’s emergence in 2015 as President will be determine by the masses vote and not by their power. ###
