Former Super Eagles defence strongman, Taribo West has admitted that he did play his football with juju during his football active days from Sharks football club to the national teams.
The ex-international footballer turned pastor also revealed that almost all his playmates resort to playing football with juju, saying that it is not a new thing to African players, stressing that it works sometimes and it fails sometimes.
According to him, key players do patronized juju practice to remain relevant in the game. Pastor Taribo made this statement while speaking on a national television with sports journalists, positing that most of the established European players equally engaged in juju in their football play, adding that most of the handband used by some of the established international players are traceable to juju makeup.
He however, pointed out that it is a motivating factor for players to develop self confident in their football career, maintaining that all players making wave either in the national team of a particular country or at the international scene is linked with juju powers in one way or the other.
He said, he started engaging in this practice when he seek international exposure in his football career from his football primary stage here in Port Harcourt.
Asked when last he played his football without juju, he responded that he abandoned juju in his football career when he accepted Jesus Christ.
