MHWUN Elects New Officers

In what looks like a consensus arrangement, the Medical and Health workers union of Nigeria (MHWUN) Women Committee, Rivers Council in its 4th delegate’s conference in Port Harcourt has elected new officers to pilot the affairs of the organization.

Announcing the result, the returning officer, Comr. Amatolo Williams said the consensus arrangement adopted by the union has made his job easier.

The new officers were sworn in immediately after their adoption. They are Betty Bob-Manuel (chairman), Victoria Amadi (Secretary) and Gloria Bapakaye (Treasurer).

Others are Awaji Oruanbo (Vice-chairman), Florence Iyalla (Asst. Secretary) and Inyi Ogolo (PRO).

In her acceptance speech, the chairman, Betty Bob-Manuel assured the members that the mandate they have given her and the entire Exco will be effectively utilized.

She thanked God for making the event possible and the delegates for their support. ###
