Anglican Communion Ordains 23 Clergies men this weekend

The popular ancient kingdom of Bonny in Rivers State will be agog come Sunday, July 14th, 2013 as 23 brand new ordinands are to be administered with the oath of allegiance and office of the church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion in the Niger Delta Diocese.

The 2013 Trinity Ordination of the Diocese is scheduled to hold at the Diocese Cathedral Church of St. Stephen’s Anglican Church, Bonny at 10.00am prompt.

In a press release signed by the Diocesan Communicator Sir, Chief Olu B. Fubara and made available to The Newswriter, the Diocesan Bishop, Rt. Rev. Raph Cornelius Ebirien, JP is expected to ordain 13 of the 23 clergymen as Deacons, while 10 already Deacons are to be elevated to priesthood positions.

The statement further confirms the Bishop of Etche Diocese, Rt. Rev. Precious Nwala as guest preacher at the trinity ordination service.

However, retreat and orientation programmes packages for those to be ordained and priested have already started and will end on Saturday, 13th July, 2013 at the Cathedral church.

The statement is urging all Anglican Faithful, well-wishers and citizens to attend. ###
