Rivers Political Crisis: Only God Has The Answer- Nwator

REV. NWATORFollowing the crisis being witnessed in Rivers State and Nigeria in recent times, a respected elder statesman and founder of the International Integrity Bishops College and Faithful Ministers World Network, Archbishop Dr (Amb) Friday Osaro Nwator JP, OON, FNMC, has advised the people of Rivers State and Nigeria not to panic, adding that only God has the answer for Rivers State and Nigeria.

In a statement signed by his Media Adviser, Kelechi Esogwa-Amadi and issued to the press recently in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital, Archbishop Nwator said he and his team of bishops have been praying for Nigeria and Rivers State and that God has continued to assure them that He is in control of the situation, calling on the people to remain calm and allow God to complete His divine work.

Archbishop Nwator, in the statement, said: “We have fasted, we have tarried and we have prayed for Rivers State and Nigeria and the Lord has spoken to us thus: ‘The present situation and future of Rivers State are in my hands. I’m in charge and in control of Rivers State and Nigeria.’ ”

According to the Archbishop, since God has said He is in charge of the situation, it is necessary for everybody to respect God and desist from engaging in any activity likely to contradict God’s will for the State and country.

The statement further read:

“Whoever plans to ruin the State or take any action likely to endanger the citizens or intentionally says things that are not true about the State just to mislead the people or cause unnecessary tension will face the judgment of the Almighty God. The situation in Rivers State and Nigeria can only be settled by the Almighty God and not by man. Any manoevres by man will not work. No man has the solution to the situation in Rivers State and Nigeria. Let us all keep praying for the Lord is angry over some of the manoevres going on and some people may even die if they don’t repent.”

The statement noted that the Eleme-born England-trained medical doctor-turned clergy, who has contributed so much towards peace in Rivers State, especially during the days of militancy when he converted over 1900 militants from the creeks to Christ and has, uptill now, continued to work tirelessly for the sustenance of peace and development in the Niger Delta and Nigeria as a whole, advised those planning to perpetrate evil and wickedness in the State and country to either drop their plans or face the wrath of the Almighty God.

Archbishop Friday Nwator, just like the late Archbishop Benson Idahosa, is so much feared and respected in Rivers State and the entire Niger Delta because of reports that whenever anybody provokes him to anger, God usually punishes the person severely.

According to reports, a man who once betrayed and challenged him, died in a ghastly bike accident few weeks later, in Port Harcourt, while one of his former drivers, who insulted him for no just cause, was also visited by God’s wrath and in the process got a broken leg and is now begging on the streets.

Also, a few years ago, one of the repentant militants Archbishop Nwator converted was reportedly seized and battered by kidnappers while on a mission to rescue an abducted former Chairman of Omuma LGA in a thick forest at Obowo, Imo State, but when the dying repentant militant managed to cry: “God of Bishop Nwator save me,” thunder struck immediately, setting the forest on fire and allowing the miraculously revitalized repentant militant and his boys to escape with the kidnapped chairman.

The statement further warned: “If you want to plan evil and wickedness, please stop it, otherwise you may die in the process; you may even sleep and not wake up because Rivers State and Nigeria are precious to God and He is very angry with all the manoevres going on secretly; God bless Rivers State and Nigeria.”
