The remains of late Madam Grace Ariprinye D. Ogolo popularly known as Maama has been laid to rest in her home town at Daminabo Ogolo House Opopbo town on Saturday 8th June, 2013.
It would be recalled that the late madam Grace A. Ogolo departed from this planet earth on 22nd March, 2013 after a brief illness. In an address presented by Mr. Abiesia Dede Ogolo the first son of the diseased and chief Mourner at the burial Ceremony it was disclosed that late madam Grace A. Ogolo was born on 28th January 1936 to the family of Chief Daminabo Ogolo of Dreepiri Polo of Opobo town.
She attended the famous Saint Pauls School Opobo in 1944, according to him, at Primary two (2) in 1946 she fell sick and was withdrawn to receive medical treatment which lasted for eight years. Due to persistence of her sickness at home, she was relocated to Abonnema town by her Aunt late Nma Erina where she became healthy and assisted in domestic work.
She felt over age to go back to School but resorted to petty merchandize on edible products. She was married to late Mr. Lawson, a Ghanian and was blessed with wonderful children. Late madam Ogolo until her demise was devoted Christian and epitome of humility, charitable caring to all who came across her, a provider and intelligent woman. In his tribute to the late madam Ogolo, Mr. Emeka Jilly Ejiowhor a media practitioner and author who is also a tenant to the late madam Ogolo expressed shock and pain in her departure on this planet earth describing her as a loving and cheerful woman who took everyone who came across her as her children adding that her demise has created a big vacuum which cannot be easily filled.
Mr. Ejiowhor who sited William Shakespeare an Author in one of his book “Julius Caesar noted that “Death is a necessary end that will come when it will come” adding that all human beings created by God are strangers on this planet earth and deserve to go back to their creator one day and advice those she left behind to take heart and move on because God knows why it happened so sudden.
In their separate tributes Evlyn Akarahu, peace Bethel Ogolo, Abiesia Dede Ogolo, Mr. Chuks O. Moses and miss Victoria Ogolo who expressed sadness over the demise of late Grace Ogolo describe her as a hard working, intelligent, Epitome of Peace and meekness stressing that the role she played and legacies she left behind will be remembered forever. ###
