Worried by the bad utterances meted on Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi the governor of Rivers State by Dame Mrs. Patience Jonathan, during her visit to Rivers State, Chief Owabie Tobin the Eze Omumini I of Port Harcourt City, LGA has called on Dr. Goodluck Jonathan to call his wife to order.
It would be recalled that during the recent visit of Dame Patience Jonathan to Rivers State, she had blasted Amaechi, stressing that his administration, was low in terms of performance compare to past administration who have governed the state in the past adding that the Port Harcourt City which use to be known as the Garden City of Nigeria has lost its past glory as the Garden City under his administration.
She further stated that Barr. Nyesom Wike, the Federal Minister of State for Education has assisted her husband, Dr. Jonathan to occupy the present positions as President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Reacting to this statements while in a chat with journalist in Port Harcourt, Chief Tobin condemned the statement stressing that the state under governor Amaechi’s administration has witnessed development across the 23 LGAs of Rivers State in the area of building of schools, health centres, infrastructural development, security network, Housing, among others, stressing that governor Amaechi administration is the best compared to other past administration.
The royal father who sited professor Tam David West statement in one of the national dailies “that it is only a blind mask that will not see the good things governor Amaechi is doing in Rivers State described Amaechi as a performer.
On the Nyesom Wike’s assistance to occupy their presents positions the royal father recalled that in 2011 election Barr. Wike was an ordinary campaign Director to governor Amaechi who discouraged people from participating in the election.
According to him, during the election in 2011 all the arrangement between him and governor Amaechi to convey people to the campaign venue were not perfectly done as Amaechi directed him to do, as Wike reduce the numbers of the vehicles under his care thereby keeping the people stranded during the campaign, the number of the vehicles which was ten on the first day of the campaign was reduced to four vehicles which prevented people from participating in the campaign.
The royal father who hinted that president Jonathan and his wife are preparing Barr. Nyesom Wike and Senator George Sekibo to take over from governor Amaechi in 2015 stressed that they cannot succeed because Okrika and Ikwerre have governed Rivers State and that letting them to occupy the Brick House again will amount to killings other ethnic groups in the state.
The royal father who also noted that the police commissioner, Mr. Joseph Mbu was taking order from the first lady Dame Patience Jonathan noted that the people of the state did not elect her rather it is her husband and advised Jonathan to call her to order. ###
