Super Eagles Captain Vincent Enyeama has taken a cue from the federal government who promise her players that did make the nation proud in their soccer exploit in Tunisia 94 Nations Cup.
Enyeama at the wake of the AFCON competition promised that if the Super Eagles lift the AFCON trophy he will dance openly in the public with his underwear. Even when his expectation of winning the AFCON trophy did not come to reality. He never fulfilled his promise of dancing with his underwear openly in the public.
When asked by curious sports journalists over the weekend, prank playing Enyeama said he was taking a cue from the federal government who promised the 1980 and 1994 Nations Cup winning squads a house to each player in their preferred places in Nigeria main city but did not fulfill it till date.
Positing that it is not wrong for him to copy or cue himself with the federal government attitude, stating that he would have gladly fulfilled his promise supposing the federal government is true to its promises to Nigerian players who had served the country with sacrifice and their lives.
Enyeama was also quoted as saying that the allowance and bonuses slash is another factor which made him not to fulfill his promise he made to the Nigeria public, disclosing that if the federal government changes it attitude on cheating on players, he will ever keep to any promise he made to Nigerians.
Unconfirmed reports has it that Enyeama stood on behalf of the Eagles to reject the match allowance and bonuses the federal government was to pay the Eagles.
This is because there was a slash down in figure of the initial amount earlier promised the Eagles. ###
