The chairman of Rivers State Trade Union Congress (TUC) Comrade Chika Onuegbu has pledged his support to the newly elected president of Trade Union Congress of Nigeria, Comd. Kaigama.
In a text message sent to our correspondent, Comrade Onuegbu stated that the TUC National election was keenly contested for adding that his national president Babatunde Ogun (PENGASSAN) contested, unfortunately he did not win though they tried their best.
According to the text message, Comrade Onuegbu “what is important now is the Unity and progress, we must give them all the support to succeed. Karigama the new president general of TUC is also a comrade, brother and I expect he will build on the success of Comrade Esele moreover as he is the immediate past chairman of TUC Taraba State and having worked with Esele as 3rd Deputy President General (PG), I have no doubt that he will continue with the good works of Esele and also strengthen the TUC state councils is the next most critical growth area for TUC in Nigeria.
“On our part, we will give him all the support he needs to success as PG is our collective success and so requires our collective efforts. ###
