Consequent upon the dissolution of Ekinigbo Clan Council in Obio/Akpor LGA of Rivers State by HRH Eze Sir, Amb S. N. Wali JP, Eze-Oha III of Apara kingdom, HRH Eze Chike Worlu Wodo has ceased to be the chairman of Ekinigbo Council of Chiefs.
HRM Eze Wodo had debunked the allegation against him wanting to kill HRH Eze S. N. Wali diabolically as reason for the council dissolution, describing the allegation as an “intrigue, a palace coup on succession”.
He described the high level of security presence at the installation of Morris Chijioke Amadi, as an abomination and lacking the cultural way of installation, pointing out that Chijioke was among the people that signed a document for the banishment of one Mr. Okoduwa Amadi over false allegation on wanting to kill the king whom he has worked with for the past 18 years and represented at different court cases and other matters, Wodo added.
‘It is an intrigue, palace coup on succession’ – Eze Worlu Wodo remarked and noted that the matter has been instituted at court 16 Port Harcourt, for a second hearing on July 16, 2013. He cited a letter of 8th May 2013 to all CDC Chairmen from Ehie Apara kingdom on their decision to suspend HRM Eze Sir S.N.Wali JP, Eze Oha Apara III for wrongly installing Mr. Chijioke Morris Amadi as HRH Eze Epara II of Apara Kingdom, the same title with Eze Chike Worlu Wodo without conferring with the entire kingdom.
Eze Wodo, further cited The Independent Monitor Newspaper publication of 16 -19 May, 2013 for the said resolution of Ehie Apara Kingdom on the said matter. He further pointed on recalled the letter from the palace of HRM Eze Wali of 3rd March 2013 where he was said to have been suspended for going to the native doctor to eliminate HRM Eze S.N. Wali JP, diabolically.
He wondered why Elder Okeduwa Amadi, who was excommunicated by the Ekinigbo Clan for seven years (7) and several cows placed on him as fine, would be the same person to have informed the family of HRM Eze Wali of his plan to kill their father.
Eze Wodo added that he was made the Traditional Prime Minister of Apara Kingdom after his installation by HRM Eze S.N. Wali JP, in 1996. He described the installation of Mr. Morris Chijioke Amadi as a ploy to abdicate him, adding that it was an abomination to use Police and other security agencies to perfect a chieftaincy installation that was not in line with the culture and tradition of Ekinigbo clan, stressing that it was politically motivated by the Rivers State Chief of Staff, Hon Tony Okocha.
