RIVLEAF is A Project of Rivers People – Hon. Wele…Inaugurates Bonny Chapter

The President of Rivers Leadership Advancement Foundation Hon. Alex Wele said the project of RIVLEAF is that of the entire state and not for any individual.

The President dropped the hint in an address at the inauguration of the RIVLEAF Bonny chapter over the weekend.

Hon. Wele who is also a Special Assistant to the governor maintained that RIVLEAF is in Bonny to mobilize, sensitize and spread the message of good leadership of the organization and the good qualities of Rt. Hon. Chibuike Amaechi.

He said RIVLEAF is proud of their ground-patron because of his boldness, charisma and openness on all issues, noting that the governor will complete his tenure despite the current political challenges in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

In his opening remark, the chairman of the occasion Amasenibo Randolf I. Brown used the event to commend members of RIVLEAF for taking the bold step in bringing leadership to the grassroots.

He noted that Governor Amaechi has done well in the state and should be encouraged.

The keynote speaker Barr. Dan Hailshan described RIVLEAF as veritable leaders capable of bringing development to the state.

Barr. Hailsham said the grand patron, Rt. Hon. Amaechi has done tremendously in all ramifications, especially in the area of education, health and scholarship in which a lot of Bonny indigenes benefited.

In his goodwill message the chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Mr. Benson Pepple said the party has done well in the area of development and the governor deserves commendation and not suspension.

He stated that the re-election of the governor as chairman of Governors Forum shows his style of leadership is acceptable to members of the group.

Contributing, Mrs. Benice Tolofari said women should rise up to support the governor because many of them have benefited.

In an interview shortly after the event the S.A to the governor on culture said they will do everything possible to support the vision and the idea of the governor.

In a lecture delivered by Dr. Fubara Dan-Jumbo a lecturer at the University of Coventry, England United Kingdom on Effective Political Leadership, Catalyst For Sustainable Development, Dr. Fubara stated that the interest of a leader is that of the people he leads and that he said is the quality of the governor.

The foundation chairman RIVLEAF of Bonny LGA promised to obey the constitution of the body and all constituted authorities to foster progress of the body.###
