Rest Place Celebrates God’s Glory

The Rest Place Parish has mark her 7th anniversary celebration in Port Harcourt recently with praise, worship, drama, among other activities to elevate the church.

The occasion attracted men, women, children, internal and external guest artistes, ministers of the gospel, friends, lovers of God, members of the parish and well-wishers from far and near all over the nation, Nigeria to the church at Waterline Junction.

Speaking to the press, the anniversary planning committee chairman, Rev. Ikenna Amadi onbehalf of the Senior Pastor of the parish, Rev. Tari Hudson Ekiyor expressed joy and goodness in serving God and admonished the youths who have not accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Saviour to better do so for the salvation of their soul.

Rev. Ikanna highlighted several activities which the church is doing through which they are impacting on lives of the youths in the church, saying that the parish is teaching the youths to serve God excellently and taking people from where they are to where they should be.

He said the church of God Mission which is the vision of the Late Archbishop Abraham Benson Idahosa has touched the lives of people in free medical services, free food, free legal counseling and business career counseling.

Ikenna added that in all, the children were also given attentions, as well as praying for the sick and they receive healing.

Ikenna Amadi analyzed numbers, saying that number seven is evident that the church has come to stay as 7 is completeness so that church has nothing to do, but to celebrate it to the glory of God.

The man of God outlined challenges which the church still has, like reaching the people outside there with Gods word. He expressed the agony struggle of the church to reach media like radio, television, magazine, leaflet, newspaper among so that people can get the word for their salvation.

He advised men of God who are in the mission of reconciling men to God not to lookdown on other person, trying to compare self with others how far they have gone, where they have reached but called on all to serve God with their heart in spirit and in truth.###
