The Gospel Light International Ministries of New Covenant Gospel Church, Eleme branch, Tabernacle of His Glory Parish has held its praise and worship in Akpajo, Eleme as the church celebrated its 2013 annual convention/4th anniversary recently.

The celebration which attracted men and women from all walks of life to the parish, started on Wednesday June 5 and ended on Sunday June 9, 2013 at the church auditorium with preaching and cutting of the anniversary cake, among other interesting highlights.

In his sermon, the speaker Rev. Dr. Austen Ukachi asked Nigerians to draw closer to God to enter his kingdom.

Taking his text from Genesis 1:1-3 he recalled the voidness of the earth until God commanded light and there was light, saying that Nigeria will surmount its problems, which will result to the new dawn for Nigeria. He called on Christians to pray fervently for this transformation and turn away from darkness to light.

He frowned at the Boko Haram insurgency in the Northern Nigeria, saying that it needs collective prayer. He appealed to Nigerians to embrace light which is the new dawn.

The host, Rev. Ferdinand A. Bariwei appreciated the convention said that the theme of the convention was timely as it bring down the new dawn into the system starting with he church.

He said that God is waiting for the people to pray and there shall be a total light of transformation in Nigeria.

He dismissed the speculation that one church targets and win members from another church said that if that is done then the church is not growing but put it that all churches are one after same purpose which is to depopulate hell and increase heaven to the glory of God. ###
