The Permanent Secretary, Government House and Protocol, Mr. Tony Obuh has charged the out-going members of the National Youth Service Corps to be good ambassadors of the state and help propagate the thematic vision and philosophy of the state government.
Mr. Obuh who gave the charge last Monday at the send forth ceremony organised in honor of the outgoing 2012 Batch B corp 3 members in Asaba said that having seen the realities on the ground in the state, they should portray positive image of the State and become brand ambassadors for the state wherever they go.
He encouraged them to find innovative ways to create job opportunities which would help improve the economy of the nation and help reduce the rate of unemployment.
Mr. Obuh commended them for their selfless service to the Directorate of Government House explaining that it has in no small way contributed to the development of the state.
He testified to the good conduct exhibited by the corp members describing their stay as peaceful and co-ordinated.
“I am happy to report that your stay in this directorate has been peaceful and co-ordinated. You all exhibited good conduct in your various departments”.
Mr Obuh encouraged them to always put God first in their endeavours and remain focused in whatever direction they decided to take which would be beneficial to their states and the nation at large.
In a brief speech, The Director, Office of the Chief of Staff, Government House & Protocol Dr Tony Nwokolobia commended the out going Corps members for rendering selfless service to the state.
Dr Nwokolobia described their service in the Directorate as impeccable and encouraged them to remain diligent in their future pursuits.
Miss Phillippa Ehondor who responded on behalf of the corps members expressed gratitude to the Directorate of Government House and Protocol for the warm reception they all received during their service year in the state.
Miss Ehondor commended the heads of the various departments they served under for the support and guidance given to them. She stated that their service in Delta State was peaceful and promised to be good ambassadors of the state.
Highlight of the occasion was the presentation of souvenirs to the corps members for their outstanding service by Mr Obuh and other top officials.
