General Manager of Dolphins Football Club of Port Harcourt, Dumbor Wanen wooed for the understanding and support of fans of Dolphins.
The calm looking outspoken General Manager while speaking with The Newswriter sports, said that Dolphins is doing well despite the challenges faced with the club.
According to him, Dolphins is right at the moment trying to zoom out of it placed position in the league log table as Dolphins has started picking even away points. He noted that Dolphins has five (5) of her key players on national assignment, one in the national beach team and four in the flying Eagles is enough to have given headache to the team yet without these 5 key players, Dolphins has maintained a winning record.
Dumbor Wanen called on those who claimed to love Dolphins to come out and support the team considering the challenges faced with the club.
Stressing that unlike the European league, players of those leagues were flied while here in Nigeria players are made to travelled on road for hours, which also deter players performance while honouring league matches.
He frown at a situation where players are made to traveled a long distance from Port Harcourt to Kano and from Ilorin to Port Harcourt just to honour a league match, not taking into consideration 5 of your key star players in the national teams.
He posited that rather than condemning the team soccer loving people of Port Harcourt should commend and show their support to the team, instead of casting aspersion on the team.
Dolphins have 5 of her players in the national teams, one in the Beach Eagles and four in the flying squad.
Dolphins player is the skipper of the Nigeria Beach soccer team which had reduced Dolphins combat strike force to a limit, pointing out that out of 30 players Dolphins is left with 25 players to prosecute the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).
