KORAN Woji Unit Elects New Exco

 

 A new Executive which will run the affairs of the Rumuogba, Rumurolu and Woji Unit of the Keke Owners and Riders Association of Nigeria (KORAN) has been put in place by the State Branch.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. John Ademola, Chairman KORAN who spoke through the Vice Chairman Mr. Dickson Nyemaichechukwu called on the new executives to be transparent in their dealing with the operators.

According to him, ‘I want you as a member of the executive to always protect the riders at all times and not to extort money from them. If the operators are not on the road, there would be no reason why you should be in the executive”.

He stressed further the new executive should always listen to the problems of the riders so as create a good working relationship with each other, avoiding them not to be as task masters in their dealings with the riders.

Mr. Dickson Nyemaichechukwu advised the executives to shun actions that would bring public disgrace to the union, in his words “Always work in co-operation with each other, so as to move the union forward.

In a response, Chief Comrade Elijah Mgba (Eze Mgba), the Grand Parton of the Woji Unit said that the new executives would not betray the confidence that has been given to them to operate. In his words “We will always abide by the tenants of the union by remitting all our dues as at when due; we will work in co-operation to make sure that KORAN gets to an enviable height in the State”.

He stressed further, that the new executive would strive to sanitize the unit so as to gain the confidence of the riders and the community in which they are operating. In his word “We want peace in the unit, we want everybody to enjoy the operations of Keke in our unit”.

Among those sworn in as new executives are Chief Comrade Elijah Mgba – Grand Patron, Chineye Chukwumgba – Chairman, Chisom Dim – Vice Chairman, Obunezi Ihunwo – Secretary, Mike Wogu – Financial Secretary, Christian Ikeri  Treasurer, Stanley Ogbise Ikaribor- P.R.O, Justus Chinwo – Ex-officio, Baribor S. Vidoh – State Representative, others are the enforcement unit, Mr. Yebuchi Chukwumgba – Chairman, Timothy Gabriel  Vice Chairman and Mr. Chinoso Onyiware  Secretary. ###
