It Is The Kalabaris That Anointed Gov. Amaechi ~ Sara Igbe

The spokesman of Rivers Democratic Movement and Chieftain in the Kalabari kingdom Chief Anabs Sara Igbe has said that “It is now known that Gov. Amaechi coming to be the governor of Rivers State came by the anointing of the Kalabaris”.

Chief Sara Igbe made this revelation to journalists shortly after the launching of Kalabari Time Magazine at Abalama Town Hall.

According to him due to the zoning principle agreed upon by the leaders of Rivers Democratic Movement for peace to reign when the issue of governorship came up it was brought to the government level, it was agreed that Ikwerres should produce the governor after much consultation, where as the Kalabaris wanted to take that first shot.

Still to maintain peace the Kalabrais agreed to allow the Ikwerres go but will come to take their turn after the Ikwerres.

Hence when Omehia came up all Kalabari aspirants were asked to support Omehia and when the court deiced otherwise, the Kalabaris still supported Amaechi to continue.

Concerning what is happening in the state within the PDP the  chief said “you cannot cheat nature. And when nature react for cheating her, it will be detrimental this is what is happeing to Amaechi” Sara Igbe stated.

He advised Amaechi to make more friends than making enemies, urging him to be more careful in the way he utters his words.

He particularly advised him to be careful the way he talks about him, positing that it is the place of Amaechi to advise president Jonathan than make inflamatory statements about president Jonathan, adding that the way Amaechi is going he prays he should not be given silver spoon treatment at the end, which according to him would never augur well with the governor.

The spokesman of RDM further stated that President Jonathan is yet to positively impact on the Niger Delta region which produced him.

According to Sara Igbe, though President Jonathan had not impacted positively on the Niger Delta, the region would still want him to complete the eight years tenure, reason being that, if he does not complete his eight years tenure it will be difficult for the Niger Delta to come close to the chance of producing a president.

He appealed to President Jonathan to look inward and address the biting ugly undevelopmental situation of the oil and gas region and correct the abnormalities. ###
