Members of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Omuma Local Government Area have declared their unalloyed support for the Governor Amaechi led administration in the State. This unanimous decision was contained in a communiqué issued at a PDP stakeholders meeting at Eberi, Omuma Local Government Area. The communiqué signed by members of the party in the area further stated that Omuma people have resolved to pledge their loyalty to chief Godspower Ake and members of his executive who were lawfully elected as PDP State Executive in 2012.
Speaking at the meeting, member representing Etche/Omuma constituency at the Federal House of Representatives, Hon. Prince Ogbonna Nwuke who described the State Governor as a catalyst for development, said that Governor Amaechi had performed creditably in the State, and deserved the party’s support. Also speaking, Commissioner for Special Duties Hon. Barrister Dickson Umunakwe, who advised Omuma people not to listen to rumours, urged them to give their support to His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi, and Chief Ake in their resolve to give quality and responsible leadership to the party in the State.
Earlier, the council Chairman of Omuma, Mr. John Anucha said his people are united and prepared to give 100 per cent support to Governor Amaechi and the State Party Chairman, Chief Godspower Ake led administration. Mr. Anucha used the forum to announce that the car loan given to 20 persons from Omuma people last month has been written off, while the cars given to them was to empower them. Those present at the meeting were, former member who represented Omuma constituency in the State Assembly, Hon. Emmanuel Okata, the out-going Commissioner for Special Duties, Hon. Engr. Emeka Nwogu and PDP Party Excos from various wards of the Local Government.
