The remains of Pa James Dukoni Agoboye will be laid to rest in his home town, Ogu in Ogu/Bolo LGA of Rivers State.
A statement made available to The Newswriter and signed by his son, Comr. Bennett James, a journalist with Continental Eagle Newspaper revealed that the body of the deceased leaves Ogu mortuary on Saturday 8am to his residence in Atemie Compound of Abeji War Canoe House.
Body lies in state at 9am in his residence, while day vigil at Ogu Civic Centre arena starts at 10am thereafter leaves his residence to the Civic arena for the commencement of Christian’s rite.
At 11.30, body leaves the Civic centre arena to the somber to be committed to mother earth.
He was born 85 years ago into the families of Agoboye, Amba and Dukoni of Ofiamani group of Houses, Ogu.
Until his death he was a Cameroon based fisherman and trader among certain Europeans and Ijaws respectively in the 50s and returned to Nigeria in the 70s to work with the then Rivers State Utility Board, then known as PWA.
He was retired in 1994 and spent the rest of his life with his children in Port Harcourt. He died on 1st June 2011.
He left to mourn him ten children, grand children, great grand children, brother, sisters, relatives, inlaws and friends.
