Diocese Of Niger Delta Holds 21st Synod

The conference of the highest decision making body of the Anglican Communion in the Diocese of Niger Delta, SYNOD is holding this weekend, Thursday 25th through Sunday 28th April, 2013.

It is the 2nd session of the 21st synod of the Diocese of Niger Delta and has as its theme “Go and make disciples” taken from St. Matthew chapter 28:19-20.

In a statement signed by the Diocesan communicator and chairman of the league of Anglican media practitioners, LAMP chief Olu B. Fubara, the Diocesan Bishop Rt. Rev. Ralph Cornelius Ebirien will formally declare the synod open on arrival Thursday 25th April while the Bishop of Ohaji/Egbema, Rt. Rev. Chidi Collins Oparajiaku is the guest preacher at the synod.

According to the statement, the synod will feature crusade, group bible study, talk on the theme, Sunday school and Holy Communion services.

The synod will be rounded up with a thanksgiving service on Sunday 28th April.  All Anglican faithfuls and Christians are enjoined to attend. ###
