Barr. Forgiven Amachree the National Secretary of the Rivers State Leadership Advancement Foundation (RIVLEAF) has given reasons for the organization’s total support for Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi the governor of Rivers State.
In a chat with journalists during the inauguration of the Ikwerre Local Government Area (KELGA) chapter of the organization at Isiokpo headquarters of Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State, Barr. Amachree who hinted that the organization which was founded in 2007 with the objective to galvanize grasssroot support for good governance, noted that the organization was impressed on the good leadership quality of Rt. Hon. Amaechi and his developmental strides across the 23 LGAs of the state in all sectors of human endeavours, including building of schools, road networks, building of health centres, security, among others, hence the organization declared total support for him.
According to him, “we identify with good leaders, incidentally governor Amaechi is our leader, in his tenure since his assumption of office in 26th October 2007 as governor of Rivers State a lot of youths have been empowered, a lot of construction works have been done which created employment for Rivers youths and non indigenes of the state, stressing that soon thirteen thousand teachers of both indigenes and non indigenes of the state would be gainfully employed, adding that in military administrations, it was only restricted to some particular persons, while governor Amaechi’s administration carries everyone along in the scheme of things without discrimination.
The Engeni Orashi region and former student leader in the Rivers State University of Science and Technology who further disclosed that the organization was made up of registered former past students’ leaders from various tertiary institutions across the nation, pointing out that the organization which was a non governmental organization has concluded its plan to build leadership centre for leadership training at the Greater Port Harcourt City, adding that the leadership centre would be name, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi’s Leadership Foundation Centre.
Meanwhile the newly inaugurated chairman of Ikwerre LGA chapter of the organization, Mr. Elechi Ikpenda has described Rt. Hon. Chibuike Amaechi as a performer who has improved the lives of the youths in the state.
Mr. Elechi who spoke to journalists shortly after his inauguration, assured his administration’s support to governor Amaechi’s led government in the state to enable him actualize his target of making the state the best in the federation. ###
