Gov. Akpabio Eyes Senate After Tenure

Governor Godswill Akpabio of Akwa Ibom state has declared his intention to represent his people at the Senate after his second tenure as governor of Akwa Ibom state.

Akpabio made this assertion in a public function in Uyo township, the state capital while addressing the people.

He hinted that he is ready to represent his people at any level provided his people interest  is protected.

The governor further said that life to him has no meaning if he could not stand and serve his people, hence he will do anything within his capacity to see that Akwa Ibomites are given good representation in the upper house of Assembly in the country.

Akpabio is the current chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governors’ Forum in Nigeria and had been so hardworking to have earned the trust of his state and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Amongst the governors of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Gov. Akpabio has done well to the admiration of the party on which platform he was elected as governor of Akwa Ibom state and may be supported by both his state and the PDP to actualize his senatorial ambition.

As other governors also seek re-election into either the state governors seat or senate, the governor of Akwa Ibom state may have just booked his ticket to the senate due to his good records.
