The Rivers State University of Science and Technology (RSUST) will play a football match with its Cameroonian counterpart in the school, come 22nd April, 2013, to kick-start the up coming convocation ceremony.
This was disclosed to The Newswriter Sport in Port Harcourt during a training session by the school’s coach, Cyril Levi.
According to him, it has become the school’s tradition that before any convocation there should be a football match play, adding that likewise the school female side will engage their female counterpart in the school. All matches will take place on the school field. Coach Cyril Levi further revealed that the school will use the match to prepare for this year’s “NUGA Games”.
It would be recalled that RSUST has never failed in featuring in Nigeria University Games since the school entered into participation of that particular games, even when the school is on strike.
The coach said he returns all thanks to Prof. B.B. Fakae, the Vice Chancellor of the institution for providing logistics and what the team needs. ###
