ARISE Takes Sensitization To Primary School

The pupils of Government School, Mbiabong Etim, Ini LGA of Akwa Ibom State have been advised to take their studies serious, be obedient, self disciplined, and make good friends and trust God who is the giver of wisdom.

The pioneer officers, captain Anietie and Angela of the Salvation Army, Mbiabong Etim society under Essien Udim centre of Akwa Ibom South-West Division, in collaboration with Angela and the Rising Stars Initiative (ARISE), gave the advice during an official visit to the school.

Community school sensitization programmes are part of the church’s mandate to reach out to children and youths, in the area and beyond aimed at helping the government, agencies and religious bodies to impact positively on the youths for societal growth and development through talk shows, sensitization, advocacies, seminars and workshops.

Capt. Angela Anietie, founder and Chief Executive officer of Angela and the Rising Stars Initiative (ARISE), and her spouse, Capt Anietie Etuknwa, told the children to behave well during the Easter holiday and beyond, by reading books, creating time for rest and engage in less play and watching of home videos as these could make them forget what they have studied during the last term.

In his words of appreciation, Mr. Asibong Nkwa thanked the servants of God for creating time to re-mould the character of the young people in Mbiabong and beyond.

Highlights of the event were renditions of solos, duets and poetry presentation. ####
