Rev. Oliver Udioko, presiding cleric of Foundation Faith Church, Borikiri District, Port Harcourt, has admonished believers to always give glory to God. He stated this on Sunday, April 7, 2013, while speaking on the theme:
“Always Give Glory to God”, on the occasion of the first quarter, thanksgiving service for the year 2013. The sermon was taken from Malachi 2:1 -2 and Psalm 78:42, 59. The cleric cautioned that ingratitude is a killer and counseled that giving Glory to God should be cultivated as a habit, saying that if there was anything that attracts Heaven to a believer’s side, it was thanksgiving.
He cited an example of how the Biblical David, who was in trouble at a certain period of his life, used thanksgiving to negotiate his life with God. He reasoned that there was no doubt that, if you give thanks to God for what He did for you, He will do more.
On the other hand, he stated that if we murmur, God will curse us.
The highlight of the thanksgiving service was prayers, offered by the host cleric to members of the congregation, Rivers State and Nigeria in general. ###
