Adenuga Redeems Car Promise to Keshi

Super Eagles coach Stephen Keshi has received the car gift he was promised by the chief executive officer of Globacom, Chief Mike Adenuga.

The business magnate fulfilled his pledge to coach Keshi for winning the 29th edition of the African Nations Cup in South Africa.

It would be recalled that Chief Adenuga after the Nations cup promised a car. Though, Chief Adenuga has doled out cash to the entire victorious team that lifted the 29th edition of the African Cup of Nations in South Africa.

Keshi was given Camry and another car as he counts his star for receiving from the patriotic Nigerian his fleet of cars.

Keshi while appreciating the gift by the business mogul said he was indeed glad to be honoured by an individual for serving his father’s land.

Making reference to the 1994 world cup promises made to the 94 USA team, Keshi said the squad that won the Nations cup was yet to received their promised prized, but an individual had just fulfilled his pledge.

Keshi said some of those who played in the ’94 Tunisia squad are in the grave, they never see the house promised them, but here he is receiving a promise made to him for winning the Nations cup for the country.

Keshi used the occasion to plead with the federal government to always keep to its words in honouring their sports heroes while they are alive.###
