One of the well organized social recreational football clubs based in Rivers State, Port Harcourt, Obio/Akpor All stars football club will play host to Delta Allstars football of Delta come Saturday, 16th march, 2013 in a friendly football match.
Obio/Akpor Allstars is made up of retired but not tired footballers of different social, religious and educational background who play every Saturday in the week of the month all year round.
The team is one of the best organized social recreational football teams in Nigeria.
The team promotes peace social good neighbourliness and helps one another among its fold. The team has its training ground at Akpor Grammar School football pitch, on every Saturday.
This Saturday, the team will be tackling Delta Allstars of Delta in a friendly football match. The friendly football match is said to be promoting friendly mutual understanding among both teams.
From time to time, the team invites sister social recreational football teams to feature in a friendly football match to strengthened their relationship with others.
In the same vein, the club is also invited to play other sister recreational social football clubs away in the teams’ playground. This has been a normal occurrence among the social recreational football clubs in Nigeria to keep themselves fresh and active, even as they are no longer playing active football like their younger days when they were in sparkling form. ###
