Address Nigeria’s Economic Problem, Bishop Ugorji Tells Government

Government at all levels in Nigeria has been urged to look at the faces of the people and address the economic problems of the country because Nigeria is too rich to be poor.

Bishop Julius Oliver Steve Ugorji, General Overseer of Kings Household International Church Incorporated, Eleme made the call shortly after his consecration recently while speaking to newsmen in the church auditorium.

Bishop Urgorji used the medium to advise Christians to serve God faithfully, in spirit and in truth, as God does not accept services of crooks, admonished Christians to inculcate the spirit of loving one another, adding that his consecration came as a result of many years dedication in service to God.

Speaking to the press, Rivers State Chairman Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Apostle Zilly Aggrey and Bishop Elizabeth Obelle advised Bishop Ugorji to fulfil the demands of the Bishopric office as they are enormous.

Zilly further described the office of a bishop as a call to service which is beyond the church and Christians fold.

Aggrey who further described the power of woman in the home as enormous, who can decide whether to accept or not thanked the wife of Bishop Ugorji for releasing the husband to serve.

The guest Preacher at the event Rt. Rev. Raymond in his message told Christians that the power of God does not need a lot of effort but demand orderliness and structure.

He told the church that though there are counterfeit or false prophecy, one should not criticize prophecy but urged the church to pray in tongue without ceasing.

A traditional ruler in Eleme, Prince Osaronu Jimai described the consecration of Ugorji as a good omen in the land of Eleme, describing Bishop Ugorji as a real man of God who has led many to Christ.

He urged the bishop and other men of God to reach out to those who had not repented from idol worship.

Earlier the organizing committee Chairman Evag. Samuel Uebari thanked God for making the day a success, saying that the ministry is 10 years old and welcomed the people to a double celebration of the ministry’s 10th anniversary and the bishopric consecration.

Uebari said that from the day of the consecration, a new chapter has been opened in the life of members of the church, as the bishop will become a greater source of spiritual blessings to the people in this part of the country and beyond.

He pointed out that the church has proposed to build staff quarters, Bishop court and cathedral that will further bring greater glory to God, asking all to identify with the progress and the work of the Lord. ###
