Chieftaincy Installation: Amb. Frank Eke Tasks Omagwa Chiefs On Peace

It was celebration galore at Omuikume playground, Omagwa Community, in Ikwerre LGA of Rivers State, as the people gathered to celebrate with their newly installed chiefs on 2nd March, 2013.

Making his remarks at the event, HRM Amb. Dr. Frank Eke, KSC. CON, JP, Eze Gbakagbaka, Eze Oha Evo II, Evo kingdom, who was the chairman of the occasion, told the people of Omagwa that he came to celebrate with the newly installed chiefs.

Eke described 2nd of March, 2013 as his first day of coming to Omagwa community to perform such duty. He disclosed his love for HRH Eze Orji Jacob, Nyenwe-Ali, Omagwa, describing him as a good man and the reason for his presence at the event.

Amb. Frank, who opined that chieftaincy title in Ikwerre land is not an easy task, charged the new chiefs to see maintenance of peace and order in their various communities/areas as paramount.

He used the medium to call on those who may not understand some of the issues he enumerated at the event to feel free and come to his palace for more clarification.

In the same vein, Chief Daniel Thompson, Eze Udo 1 of Eliohani kingdom, who represented HRH Eze Godspower Omachi, Nyenwe-Ali Eliohani kingdom in Obio/AkporLGA of Rivers State, urged the new chiefs to follow their foot steps at Eliohani, in ensuring peace, stability and unity in their various communities.

Chief Amese Godswin Wordu, Eze Masirioha 1 of Mgbuogide-Omagwa, stated that the occasion was the first of its kind in Omagwa land, applauding the reign and person of Eze Orije Jacob.

He charged the chiefs to follow the advice and directives of Eze Gbakagbaka  for the good of their communities and Omagwa at large. Amesi used the occasion to commend Rt. Hon. Chibuike Amaechi on his action on the contractor, handling the Port Harcourt-Owerri Road, for speedy completion of the road and the need for him to construct some of the linking community roads in Omagwa as he had promised.

Others who spoke to our correspondent at the event include: Chief Tony Chizi Ejiogwu, Eze Ochialiri of Omagwa, one of the newly installed chiefs, Mr. Ali of Zerock Construction Company and Eze G.E. Nyeso Jp, Ogbuema 1 of Omademe, amongst others. ###
