NFF Shops For Technical Director For Nigeria

The fuss generated by the hiring of a technical Director for the Nigeria national teams is far from being over, as Nigeria Football Federation Technical Committee chairman, Barr. Christopher Green has cleared the air that, the position of the technical Director is to develop women and youth football for Nigeria, not merely supervising Keshi as many people are insinuating.

The Rivers State born football administrator further revealed that Keshi will still be the Chief Coach of the Super Eagles, stating that the job of the Technical Director will not interfere with the Chief Coach’s job of the Super Eagles as the technical Director job is to directs and develop talented hidden budding talents after discovering them from the grassroots all over the country.

“This is what developed countries do, hence they are growing from stage to stage in their sports history, mostly football”, Green explained.

The Technical Director he said will be the one to upgrade the various national teams with seasoned talents while he discovers them for the future.

All the national teams will be under the watch of the Technical Director as he feeds the various grades of the national teams with talents.

Women football, age grade football from U-17 to the senior male and female national teams will reap from the wealth of experience the Technical Director when hired, as his job is a developmental one. He travels round the nation monitoring the various local teams each week, in a bid to advising and building the Nigeria football system. ###
