The chairman of Agwut-Obolo Community Council of Chiefs, chief U.N Ayauwa said he lacks words to express his joy over the self development gesture of Comr. P.G. Tony Emmanuel in Agwut- Obolo Community in Andoni Local Government Area of Rivers State.
Speaking with our correspondent in Agwut-Obolo, his country home, the chairman upheld that the surprise performance of the philanthropist, Comr. P.G Tony E. has brought new life to the entire community, adding that God has never forgotten Agwut- Obolo Community.
Speaking further on the self Community development project embarked on by Comr. P.G. Tony who is also the present National Vice Chairman of Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), the chief maintained that, the newly built UBE school building project and the renovation of the deroofed building of the Universal Basic Education (UBE) owned by the Rivers State Government is an open indication that P.G Tony has a good development agenda for his Community and. the entire people of Agwut-Obolo Community, and thanked God for the privilege given to the Community. He further thanked the donor, on behalf of his Council of Chiefs, taking for the predicament of the community as a priority.
When declaring the self development projects donated by the philanthropist, the chief and members council of chiefs, took journalists to the projects sites which includes, the reconstruction of the internal Community bridge to international standard, the community church centre, Tony Skills Development Center (TSDC), and a newly built edifice for the UBE school, including the total renovation of the deroofed existing UBE school building owned by the Rivers State Government.
In a related development, the Community development chairman, (CDC) Mr. Stanley R. Barabonye noted that, the giant community development projects initiated by Comr. Tony Emmanuel was a surprise package to all well meaning sons and daughters of Agwut- Obolo community irrespective of socio-political and economic affiliations, and described the donor as a Gods sent to the people of Agwut Obolo Community in Andoni.
He said countless Youths and women of the community have been empowered by Comr. Tony Emmanuel to survive the challenges of the present society, and thanked the philanthropist for his voluntary assistance to the NYSC members deployed to the school by donating his guest for their accommodation.
The Youth leader of the community Comr. Brown describe Comr. Tony as a millennium Community developer, urging him not to relent on the effort.
The donor, in his reaction said, it takes the grace of God Almighty to gain the wisdom to address the needs of the people and promised to do more to change the live of the people. He appealed to all sons and daughters of the community to see the projects as theirs and protect them for the future.
The project engineer of the bridge, Eng. Gani Alex assured members of the community that the bridge will serve generations yet unborn by the standard specified by donor.

In another development, the principal and entire management of the community secondary school (UBE) in Agwut- Obolo community in Andoni Local Government of Rivers State have sent a message of congratulation to an enviable son of the soil, Comrade P.G Tony Emmanuel for building a befitting edifice and the over all renovation of the existing school building owned by the Government of Rivers State.
The Principal of the school, Mrs. Hannah Ezekwu made this statement when briefing journalists at the school premises on Monday, describing the commitment as worthy of emulation, and challenged other meaningful sons and daughters of the community to emulate the gesture.
In an extended appreciation by the school authority, the tutor of the school Mr. Owajibe Etete Commended the donor and described the gesture as a challenge to all sons and daughters who have the spirit of developing the ancient Agwut-Obolo Community, thanking God for the provision.
The tudor who is also a son of the soil, further maintained that the on going community development projects in the Community embarked upon by Comr. P.G Tony Emmanuel such as, the reconstruction of the Agwut -Obolo internal bridge to international standard, provision of twelve hours security light to all community, the internal drainage system for avoidance of flood in the Community, the community Church Complex, Tony Skill Development Center (TSDC) as self empowerment center for the Community Youths and Woman of the Area is a welcome development and commendable for posterity. ###
