8th Garden City Cycling: Winners Emerge

The 8th Garden City Cycling Championship has come and gone with winners emerging from all categories.
For the male amateur category Caleb Kaliziba of Bayelsa State emerged winner with a time limit of 02:2028:007, who wore jersey no 079 and competed for the 90km, 12 lapses race, Ajibrade Qodrik Sodiqe came second with a total time limit of 02:20:30-197 with registration no of 068 and Emma Edhe with registration no of 088 from Imo state coming third with a total time limit of 02:20:30:557.
For the female amateur category Tombrapa Griepa with registration no of 050 beat reigning champion Gloria Odiase to emerge the winner in the female amateur 60km 8 lapses race with a total time limit of 02:04:00:007.
Ovueh Rita with registration no of 021 came second with a total time limit of 02:04:00:337 and Gloria Odiase came third with registration of 020 at a total time limit of 02:04:01617.
Eight (8) states participated in the one day championship in both categories.
Most improved cyclist was also awarded, Johnny Nelly was recognized as the most improved cyclist of the championship, Mack Jack and ThankGod Akile were also recognized in the second and third most improved cyclists of the championship in the male category. They were all presented with certificates and cash reward.
Patience Okon was the only female most improved cyclist of the championship and was given certificate and cash reward.
In the junior most improved cyclist, Kaduna, Usman Ibrahim claimed the only certificate and cash reward as he was awarded the only most improved junior cyclist of the championship. ###
