Your Opportunity: At this moment, if you have not already received Christ as your Savior and Lord, Jesus is knocking at the door of your heart (Your intellect, your emotions, your will-your total personality). Will you, in the quiet of this moment, surrender your will to Him? Invite Him to come into your life to live His life in you to pardon your sin, to give purpose to your life, to give you His peace and power. Though the Lord is “Not willing that any should perish”, (2Peter 3:9), He will not force His way into your life. He comes only by personal invitation. Just deciding to do something is not enough. All decisions are valueless until accompanied by action. Bow your head just now and in this moment of decision, pray: “Lord Jesus, come into my life. Pardon my sin I surrender my will the throne of my life- to you. Show me your purpose for my life. Give me your peace and power that I may please and honor You. Amen!” According to Scripture we are promised, “As many as received him to them He gave the right to become children of God.” (John 1:12). When you receive Christ, you become a child of God. We are also told in 1 John 5:11, 12, “God has given to us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has the life.” When you receive Christ, you have eternal life here and now. As you receive Christ into your life, you begin the great adventure for which He created you. And as you continue in obedience to His commands, you will experience the fulfillment of His promise of an abundant life. May I encourage you to study the Word of God, the Bible, diligently and to become active in vital Christian fellowship of a local church?
Who Christ is, and what He has done: Christ is the exact likeness of the unseen God, he existed before God made anything at all, and, in fact, Christ Himself is the Creator who made everything in heaven and earth, the things we can see and the things we can’t; the spirit world with its kings and kingdoms, its rulers and authorities; all were made by Christ for His own use and glory. He was before all else began and it is His power that holds everything together. He is the Head of the body made up of His people that is, His Church – which He began; and He is the Leader of all those who arise from the dead, so that He is first in everything; for God wanted all of Himself to be in His Son. It was through what His Son did that God cleared a path for everything to come to Him all things in heaven and on earth for Christ’s death on the cross has made peace with God for all by His blood. This includes you who were once so far away from God. You were his enemies and hated Him and were separated from Him by your evil thoughts and actions, yet now He has brought you back as His friends. He has done this through the death on the cross of his own human body, and now as a result Christ has brought you into the very presence of God, and you are standing there before Him with nothing lift against you- nothing left that He could even chide you for: the only condition is that fully believe the truth, standing in it steadfast and firm, strong in the Lord, convinced of the Good News that Jesus died for you, and never shifting from trusting Him to save you. This is the wonderful news that came to each of you and is now spreading all over the world (Col. 1:15-20, TLB). Jesus Christ is unique and makes the difference.
