Rivers FFM Ends LGAs Exco Meeting In PH

Rivers State chapter of Fadama Federation Association (FFC) has ended the meeting of chairmen and secretary of farmers Co-operative in the state. The association, during the meeting, urged farmers to refrain from selling of farm produce raw and migrate into processing where they will take the money which is the benefit of their labour.
The state project co-ordinator, Prince Kingsley O. Amadi, who handed down this gist in the meeting on Friday January 18, 2013 at the Fadama complex in Rumuodumanya, added that Agriculture was another avenue through which Nigeria will fulfill the Millennium Development Goals which include eradicating the poverty ravaging the society.
Kingsley Amadi said that the meeting became necessary as it will gear up farmers to work out their ways, reminding them what to do and asked them to be innovative and make sure they implement their thoughts to get result.
Amadi outlined great imprest of Fadama for previous years, pointing at the signboard that will be sent to their specific site soon. He said that Fadama had presence in every local government in the state, adding that though Fadama has a 5-year duration for result, farmers will still reap some benefits before the time.
He has it that several meetings for different categories will be held for farmers to undergo this same training so that they will know what to do for the co-operatives to grow stronger right from the community level as the Fadama III is now community driven. ###
