Oguta LGA: Eze Asor, Others Condole Hon. Eugene On Father’s Burial

The death and burial of Ichie Osuchukwu Dibiagwu of Unwokwu Village, Izombe, Oguta LGA of Imo State, has been described as a celebration of life, by family members and guests at the funeral event.
Late Osuchukwu, who died at the age of 82 years, and buried on the 29th of December, 2012, is the father of the recently sworn-in PDP member, at the Imo State House of Assembly, Hon. Eugene Dibiagwu, representing Oguta Constituency.
Speaking to Journalists, at the residence of Hon. Eugene Dibiagwu, HRH. Eze I. O. Asor, Udi I of Obudi Agwa and the Chairman of Oguta LGA Council of Traditional Rulers, described Late Dibiagwu as a good man that produced good children.
Eze Asor maintained that the legacy that was left behind by late Ichie Osuchukwu will continue to linger, as already taken over by Hon. Eugene. He was optimistic that Hon. Eugene will exceed expectations at the State House of Assembly, having been known for his humanitarian work, before his election.
On the peace and stability that are being enjoyed in Obudi_Agwa Autonomous Community in Oguta LGA, Imo State, the Paramount Ruler opined that he was doing his best to ensure that the mandate of his Excellency, Owelle Rochas Okorocha for them to ensure peace and stability in their various autonomous communities were kept.
In his contribution, Group Captain E. O. C. Ifeobu, commended Hon. Eugene on the infrastructure in place and urged him to look at the area of youth employment to arrest the issue of restiveness. He added that the gathering of people from all walks of life was an indication that a great man has gone and the need for people to do good.
However, Mr. Chidi Ogundu, a Northern based business man, called on the State Governor, Rochas Okorocha to establish industries for the talented youths of the state, while Alhaji Garba Wushishi, Sarkin Samari I, Hausa community, Owerri, Imo State, Ernest A. Afiesimama of Nigerian Meteorological Agency and Prince Patrick Okpe, a Cameroon-based businessman, eulogized the virtues of late Ichie Dibiagwu and lauded Hon. Eugene Dibiagwu for his selfless service to humanity.
Other dignitaries at the event include: Chief Ikedi Ohakim, former governor of Imo State, Senator Francis Arthur Nzeribe, Hon. P. Okedu, PDP Chairman, Oguta LGA, amongst others. ###
