The Port Harcourt Polo Club is currently hosting an international Polo Tournament, the toughest of all ever hosted by the club since its inception.
The tournament is featuring players from within and outside this country.
Speaking to this Weekly respectively, Mr. Nmazi Cyprian and Chike A. Ikwuagwu described the tournament as wonderful, which they said will stand the test of time and measure up with the world standard. The Duo added that outsiders who came from international community will go home fully satisfied that Polo is actually going on in Nigeria.
The Polo Club elders commended the structures in place at the Polo complex, noting that they are comparable to those in South Africa, Argentina and England.
Cyprian, who complained about flood that took over the field during rainy season, urged the club to look into the drainage problem.
Ikwuagwu expressed appreciation over this year’s tournament as the club is adding beauty pageant to the tournament.
Cyprian, who lauded the pattern of the players, again smile at the kick off of the player and the Horse on the play, expressing satisfaction with the entire process. ###
