Oritsejafor’s Jet Controversy Is Uncalled For – Zilly Aggrey

The General Overseer of the Royal House of Grace International Church, Apostle Zilly Aggrey has broken silence on the controversy generated across the nation by critics of the purchased of Jet by Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor the President of Christina Association of Nigeria (CAN).
In a chat with journalists during the 20th year anniversary celebration of the Royal House of Grace International Church in Port Harcourt, Apostle Aggrey who doubles as the Rivers State Chairman of Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, PFN and the chairman of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), expressed dismay over the scenario and questioned why a third hand jet bought in 1996 and sold to another before it was finally presented to the CAN president, a Niger Delta son should generate controversy across the nation.
According to him, “I don’t know why non Pentecostal Christians should express hatred against those in the Pentecostal churches for no just reason, the jet was presented to him by members as a mark of honour for the role he (Oritsejafor) played in ensuring peace in the nation,” pointing out that the man in question has done enough for the entire nation before he became the CAN president and deserves such gesture to complement his good work.
Considering how many oil generated from the area where he came from which has contributed immensely in the economic development of the nation, it is not a crime for a son of the region to own a jet.
According to Aggrey, if those from the desert where there is no oil, politicians and criminals can own jets and live in luxurious houses, why can’t a Niger Delta son whose area produces the bulk of the nation’s economy own a jet. Governor Amaechi as the governor of the oil Rivers State deserves a jet, adding that those who criticize pastor Ayo Oritsejafor’s purchase of jet should be thrown into jail.
On the insinuation that President Goodluck Jonathan is a failure, Apostle Aggrey who expressed sadness over the criticism against President Jonathan wondered why people should see him as a failure.
According to him, Jonathan is not a failure why should they trouble a Niger Delta son, afterall they provide the oil that feed the nation, Nigerians should give him more time, he added.
On the reason why he could not advertise his wonderful miracles and healings perform throughout the duration of the first and second decades of his missionary journey like other ministries who advertise their performance on the media, Apostle Aggrey noted that it is not in the scripture for a man of God to advertise the miracles, he performed, rather it is left for those he healed to praise him and not the other way round, adding that his church has been in existence for twenty 20 years.
Apostle Aggrey who noted that the 20th anniversary of his church would have been celebrated last year October, but was shifted to December as a result of the flood that ravaged homes of many Nigerians within that period.
The clergyman who he said provided relief materials and food items to the victims, commended Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Amaechi and other affected state governors for their quick response the flood as well as the manner in which president Jonathan set flood committee headed by Alhaji Dangote and revealed that he (Apostle David Zilly Aggrey) was one of the members of post flood committee set up by Governor Seraki Dickson of Bayelsa State to a certain the level of damage by the flood.
Apostle Aggrey who noted that president Jonathan and other affected state governors have done their best to protect the victims of the flood, urging Nigerians not to blame them for not doing enough for them because it happened unexpectedly.
Apostle Aggrey further revealed that he has commend the restructuring of the Royal House of Grace International Church.
The Man of God said they have concluded plans to train young men between 20 to 30 years in the ministry and equip them to relate with God effectively, as well as took over from those that will retire. ###
