Dolphins Football Club of Port Harcourt Technical Adviser, Coach Stanley Eguma has said his side Dolphins is ready to face the league as the new football season starts on 7th January according to Nigeria Football Federation’s (NFF) proposal.
The trophy winning coach said that the club has done all what it could as a club in readiness to face the challenges of the new football season, come January 7th, 2013.
Speaking to sports journalists shortly after the Rivers Coaches Match with the Rivers Sports Writers Association on Monday at the Liberation in which he actively participated.
The coach said, all the players recruited will live up to their billings adding that the Rivers State government had spent money in shopping for them to give result through the club.
He used the medium to appealed to the Rivers State government to maintain it contractual agreement to keep the club in top performance form.
To the new players, he charged them to as a matter of seriousness prove that they are capable of bringing glory to Rivers State, stressing that the newly recruited players are hungry for glories and he pledged to assist them translate their hunger into glory action.
Coach Eguma revealed that local coaches are not given the regard they needed back home as some sponsors care not of the welfare of their coaches, which in turned has imparted negatively on the performance of some of the local coaches.
Dolphins is a Rivers State government sponsored club and had done well in the past by winning the league and the FA cup for Rivers State.
