Ward 11 Councilor Fulfils Agenda Within One Year

The councillor representing PHALGA Ward II in the PHALGA Legislative Arm in Rivers State, Hon. Wobo Lucky Stanley has fulfilled his three point electoral campaign agenda of education, skill acquisition and soft loan scheme to people in his ward, including non indigenes, within his one year in office.
Speaking to our correspondent over the weekend, Hon. Stanley revealed that he did what he did because he is a man of integrity, as such he has to fulfill the promise he made to them during his electoral campaign, adding that he respects the people who had given him the opportunity to serve them. “I am a man of integrity, and I respect the people that have called me to serve them, it is only natural to give back to people who have called you to serve them in kind, that is what I did”.
According to him, “I see the opportunity given to me to serve as a call to serve my people,” pointing out that he went into politics because of those things that he saw that bothered him, hence he took the decision to change the situation by going into politics.
The councillor operates a special scheme to have achieved his aim as he empowered 30 persons each in the three point agenda, education, skill acquistion and soft loan scheme in the area chosen across his ward.
Revealing how he went about getting his formula of 30-30-30 to achieve his empowerment scheme, he said he involved the heads of each family that represents his ward, as they did the section by themselves in their families, where he applied aptitude test to screen the lucky candidate to benefit from the scheme, stressing that he did not influence the process that is why 10 non-indigenes too benefitted in all the categories, namely, NECO/GCE external examination 2012, computer application, welding and soft loan scheme empowerment.
Hon Stanley also revealed that he has the intention to organize soccer competition also to empower footballers as part of his agenda, but the Rivers State Ministry of Education has made it so difficult for him to have a pitch in his ward to fulfill that particular gesture. Revealing that he wanted St. Andrew newly finished soccer pitch for the project which was turned down.
He further stressed that he loves soccer as he was also a footballer in his active days that informed naming Thierry Henry of Barcelona after his son, adding that he was annoyed the day Thierry Henry left Arsenal for Barcelona, confessing that Thierry Henry is his soccer idol.
He thanked the Mayor of Port Harcourt Local Government Council for being the chief host of the programme, while urging people of his ward to pray for this administration. He said he will sustain the gesture.###
