Late Madam Mabel O. Daminabo Ogolo has been laid to rest at her home town, Alabo Daminabo Ogolo’s compound Opobo Kingdom in Opobo Nkoro Local Government Area of Rivers State on Friday 27th December, 2012.
In an address read by Senibo Hebrom K. Ogolo, the chief mourner at the burial ceremony disclosed that Late Madam Mabel O. Daminabo Ogolo was born in 1929 to the family of Late Mr. and Mrs. Okoronkwu Daminabo Ogolo of Alabo Daminabo Ogolo family in Opobo Kingdom.
According to him, she lost both parents at a tender age of 15 years and took her destiny in her own hands. She did not have the opportunity of attending any formal education, but did not relent in engaging into any business that will improve her life.
Late Madam Ogolo who was said to be naturally intelligent until her demise after a protracted illness at the age of 83 was a devoted Christian and benevolent woman who had always made effort to maintain good relationship with people by sharing the little she had with her friends and acquaintances.
In his tribute to the Late Madam Mabel Ogolo Senibo Hebrom K. Ogolo who described death as the condition to being without life and a final stage of unsafe, noted that the Late Mabel Ogolo was a caring mother who wanted nothing but the very best for him, expressing sadness that her demise has created a vacuum which no one can fill.
Similarly Madam Grace D. Ogolo the younger sister to the Late Mabel Ogolo and other relations in their tributes while expressing shock on her demise, noted that every human being is a visitors on planet earth. They expressed love for her and the wonderful legacy she left behind on earth which is worthy of emulation expressing optimism that she has gone to live with the Lord in heaven. ###
