Sports enthusiast and President of Goldashe United FC of Port Harcourt, Mr. Fubara Kingsley Hart, has warned that inadequate time for the Super Eagles players to play together and blend before the African Cup of Nations in South Africa may pose a big threat to the national team coaches’ efforts at putting up a commendable performance in the continental championship.
Mr. Hart who spoke at the weekend in Port Harcourt, noted that continued move by the technical crew to bring in new players to the team with little time remaining for the championship may lead to blending problems, stressing that there was need for the players to understand each other early enough before the competition kicks off in January.
“The team is currently made up of individually good players, they have everything but the next thing is how well they can understand themselves and what kind of tactics are they playing.
“We have good players but the biggest issue would be the time to blend. If Keshi picks the ones he thinks that can help him, another problem would be how they are going to play because of the limited time they have to play friendly games and correct noticeable lapses,” the Goldashe boss noted.
Mr. Fubara Kingsley Hart also envisaged a selection problem for the coaches, as, according to him, he has continued to invite new faces to the team, who have also shown why they should be included in the final squad.
“I think Keshi is going to have much problems in terms of selection of players. He has played with many new players and he has to pick from those ones and join them with the ones he already knew.
If he manages the situation very well, I don’t think he will have many problems,” he noted.
