Former captain of Port Harcourt Club 1928 Lawn Tennis section, Chief Ikenna Okafor has given reasons why he entered the Port Harcourt Club 1928 presidential race.
Chief Okafor disclosed that he is poised to repositioning Port Harcourt Club 1928, hence he is in the race. The amiable former captain of Port Harcourt club 1928 Lawn Tennis section declared to sports journalists over the weekend in Port Harcourt Club 1928 golf section.
He noted that Port Harcourt Club needs to be rebranded and that is the main reason why he is contesting for the club’s presidency to reposition the club.
According to him, Port Harcourt Club 1928 brand has gone down and the club needs to be rebranded to attract international reckoning among those who like social life in the international community “I will rebrand and reposition Port Harcourt club 1928. The brand of the club has gone down from what I used to know” he stated.
He further said come 15th of November, 2012 he will lead a club revolution so as to attract members of the club, pointing out that Port Harcourt club 1928 is an international club.
According to him, people join Port Harcourt club because the people in the club are good not because of ethnicity, pointing out that after repositioning and recapitalizing the club, every member will enjoy the club.
He expressed confidence that with the support of every section in the club, he will be voted into the prestigious position of president of Port Harcourt club 1928, come 15th November, 2012.###
