It was indeed a day to remember, as the good people of Ogale, particularly the youths, in Eleme LGA of Rivers State, came out in their numbers to celebrate with one of their own, Comrade Darlington Obale Nyimeone and his family.
Sunday, 28th of October, 2012 was of course the set out day for the dedication of baby Nnena Treasure Darlington Nyimeone, which took place at Shammah Christian Ministry Inc., Ogale-Nchia, and the subsequent reception at 51A Craft Road, Ogale, Eleme LGA, Rivers State.
Making his remarks, Pastor Mike Ekanem of Shammah Christian Church, commended Mr. & Mrs. Nyimeone for their patience with God, despite trials and the commitment of Mrs. Nyimeone to the service of God. He advised those that are looking up to God for the fruit of the womb to keep faith in God.
Testifying to the Glory of God, Comrade Darlington Nyimeone, expressed his heart-felt gratitude to God Almighty for remembering him and his family once again. The immediate past youth president of Ogale disclosed that he had his first daughter, one year after his marriage and had to wait for the Lord after four years for the second daughter to arrive.
Nyimeone maintained that the four year wait on the lord was characterized with gossips, rumours and accusations, that he, Nyimeone has used himself and family for rituals, making it impossible for his wife to conceive, even affirming that his wife will never conceive again, according to the rumour mongers.
Darlington said that he kept looking up to God since he knew his hands were clean. He added, “ I never know that God still love me until the arrival of Miss Nnena Treasure Darlington Nyimeone. I pray God to use me as a point of contact to favour those that are looking for the fruit of the womb and those currently facing the trauma that we had gone through”.
He expressed shock at the large number of people that graced the reception ceremony, having planed the event on a low key as a result of his uncle’s death. Responding to the presence of the newly sworn-in Ogale Youth President, Comrade Walter Olaka, Darlington expressed that he had no problem with his successor, having served under him, before his new position, but frowned at the attitude of his community Chief, Chief Okpabi Bebe for giving him a short notice for his replacement, which he was to handover to whomever that succeeds him.
Comrade Nyimeone used the medium to reiterate his administrative effort in ensuring peace and stability in Ogale community and the cordial relationship that existed between his administration and the security agencies.
He, however, appreciated all the people that came to honour him, particularly to the youths of Ogale for being supportive and urged them to continue in the line of peace.
Some of the dignitaries at the event include: Mr. David Aduba, father-in-law to Darlington, Mimi Gospel, NULGE Chairman, Eleme LGA, Hon. Fineman Olungwe, Chief of Staff Eleme LGA, and Hon. Sunny W. Ogbu, SA to Eleme LGA Chairman.
Others include: F. Sinclair, DPO Eleme, Comrade Walter Olaka, Ogale Youth President, Hon. Obele Nwogu and Chief, Mrs. Alice D. Chu, amongst others. ###
