The beauty Queen “tagged Miss Earth Nigeria 2011”, Miss Munachi Uzoma Chinyere has dragged her sponsor company to court, demanding her financial and other entitlements.
The case which is currently before a High Court of Rivers State in Port Harcourt with Suit No. PHC/19/6/2012 on motion of Notice has Ms Ibinabo Fiberesima and company AMC Production Limited respondents praying the court to put an interlocutory injunction restraining the defendants and their agents, allied, servants, cohorts from further selling forms, organizing, selecting and conducting the Miss Earth Nigeria, 2012.
The Regional organizer, AMC Production Ltd, Mr. Kio London said that the company has dethroned the 2011 winner, Miss Earth Nigeria Miss Munachi U. Chinyere for not performing her duty and taking the company to the court, Kio has it that actually Miss Munachi won the 2011 contest, but refused to be available when needed, especially when she supposed to go on Miss Earth campaign with the company.
Again, as winner 2011 Miss Earth, she supposed to have her pet project to campaign against environmental degradation, oil spill and pollution etc but surprising Miss Munachi has no pet project.
According to Mr. Kio, the company has invited Munachi severally for dialogue but she refused to honour the invitations.
On the issue of prize money as claimed by the beauty queen he said actually what she won was an official car attached to the office not a private car as she claims it to be.
Earlier, the beauty queen in an interview with The Newswriter accepted that the company claimed that she did not perform her duties as Miss Earth.
However, the defendants were in court on the motion on notice and the case was adjourned to the 6th of November, 2012. ###
